Sin cityPosted by Vikram (Chandler, United States) on 30 April 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. This is not a special photo. I have never done this kind of a photo before, although I like others doing such photos. I mean this weird composition. I don't know why/how, but everything in this image; all together seized my attention and I had to shoot this one. Do comment on this photo! I will definitely take a note of your suggestions/critique for improvement. I'll be glad to ready and reply your comments! Thanks!!!

And I like the colours. 30 Apr 2008 6:35am @Margie: Thanks a ton for your comment :) @Alun Lambert: Thanks a lot :) Zorilla from Kew, United KingdomThis is your first signage picture? You have now embarked on what I'm sure will be a life-long passion that borders on and crosses over to obsession... http://signs-of-life.aminus3.com/portfolio/ 30 Apr 2008 9:27am @Zorilla: Oh yes, as far as i remember this is the first such photo I ever took! Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your comment! Marie-Hélène Ammor from Casablanca/Paris, MoroccoHello Vikram ! yes you're right this picture has something special and i like the different directions of cars movement and the dark shadow of tree cutting the publicity, town lights in the distance and two white columns in the right :finally it gives me a very good picture ,I like it ...( it's a long comment for me in english :sorry for the mistakes !!!) 30 Apr 2008 10:06am @Marie-Hélène Ammor: I am so glad that you liked this image!!!You have described each and every thing about this Image that grabbed my attention. I really appreciate you taking efforts to give me such an inspiring comment! Thanks so much! Nina from Hamburg, GermanyWonderful contrast of color, light and shadow...I love the beautiful pastel colors. 30 Apr 2008 11:16am @Nina: Thanks! I wanted to have that washed out effect! Thanks once again for the being so keen! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesIt's a very good photo; I like the dark/light contrasts and the sense of movement, and the slightly hidden written parts of the billboard, for mystery. 30 Apr 2008 3:05pm @Viewfinder: Exactly! Thats one thing that I liked that how the written parts are slightly hidden. I really appreciate your comment! shahab from Qazvin, IranColor is really impressive on this shot!It could be warmer I think by processing.Nonetheless it`s still great!I like the title too! 30 Apr 2008 4:51pm @shahab: It was a bit more red. And that looked nice to me like that... But then I added a saturation layer to make it a little dull for washed out effect. Thanks a ton for the comment friend! @Saeed: Thanks for the comment Saeed! @Marie: Merci pour le commentaire Marie! @Abhijeet: Thanks Abhijeet. I have also done some curve adjustment on this Barbara from Florida, United StatesI know exactly what you mean about how others capture images like this. I enjoy them too and feel you did very well on the composition here. It makes a statement, perfect title, excellent night shot. 1 May 2008 3:53am @Barbara: You know! It really feels great to find people who understand exactly what you mean to say and have similar interests! Thanks a lot for the comment Barbara!!! Rags from Plano, United StatesThis is what i like. taking pictures from the heart. 1 May 2008 4:03am @Rags: After reading your comment, I realize now, why/how I wanted to shoot this. And also makes me realize that sometimes I get so much lost in the technicalities of photography that I get digressed from what I really want to do. This I my favorite comment! Thanks a ton man!!! pierre from athis mons, FranceUn cliché pris à la volée ? @Elisa: Thanks Elisa :) João Mourão from Amadora, Portugalyou got it right. It's a perfect night shot with great colors and rich tones. and composition is perfect. 2 May 2008 12:53am |
