@Celialee: Thanks for the comment!
Good wide picture Vikram. The light is harsh I guess, a bit more contrast perhaps? Like how the perspective is created with these Hoodoos! Regards Angshu

@Angshuman: You are right Angshuman... Actually the image was too complex for me. After loosing most of the contrast by doing HDR processing I didn't know what to do next. The image had blue green and red and a lot of texture and I could not decide on what should I do with it. After reading you comment and comments from other friends, I did some more experimentation and the result was very different than this. I will definitely try to improve on HDRI. Thanks a ton for such comment. I need such comments or else I will never improve :)
what a beautiful view!!

@kaneli: Thanks a lot friend!
Fabulous vista over that spectacular landscape. Great shot.

@Observing: I appreciate your comment!
A truly impressive vista ... the HDR treatment isn't as dramatic and contrasty as we usually see in HDRs on Am3 ... nonetheless, a beautiful image!

@Ron: I wonder how people bring out such dramatic effects in HDRI. I am experimenting with some free tools. I will try to work with contrasts and see how it looks. Thanks so much for the comment Ron!
Fantastic view!

@Ana Lúcia: Thanks you for visiting :)
What great view, it is just a fantastic place.

@Alun Lambert: Yeah! Very beautiful place. But there is a funny and more realistic view. I think it was Ebenezer Bryce, one of the early Mormon settlers of this region, after whom this canyon is named, said; This is one hell of a place to loose a cow. Thanks for the comment friend!
Very good work! Is that a little snow I see in the foreground?
16 Apr 2008 8:55am
@vu@granby - Wolfgang: Yes that is snow! The snow caps on the hoodoos had just melted away. This place looks awesome in winter too!
Great capture of the Bryce Canyon.

@Elisa: Thanks for the comment Elisa... I am experimenting with free HDR tools. I will put some more HDR images in the future and hopefully they will be good on the eyes :)
superbe endroit, superbe image.

What a beautiful landscape!!!

@JosefQ: Thanks for visiting pal!
very good HDR viks...I have seen some hdr and they make me to think that hdr never makes picture natural but your hdr does....
16 Apr 2008 8:08pm
@Abhijeet: Oh yes, in my first few attempts the images had very high colour saturation and looked like oil on canvas. They were good in a way but didn't look natural at all. I dont know the technicalities of HDR. I just did something and got this image and felt this one was better. Definitely this is not the best one. But I am trying :)
wonderful shot!

@Hercules: Yes, I will definitely do it in b/w. In fact I also had that thought in my mind. Thanks for stopping by!

@Saeed: Thanks for the encouraging comment Saeed!
Hi Vikram, for a first attempt at HDR I think you have got it just right. The picture looks natural and not over processed at all. However, I would probably add a touch more contrast (or maybe jusr add more depth to the dhadows) because it is starting to look a little flat and also, I think it is overall a little blue, so you are losing some of the beautiful red tones of the Hoodoos.

@drphoto: Oh yes... I always thought that HDRing means flattening image. Its because I had done some work on HDRI with a friend of mine for study purpose. He is an architect and was studying energy efficient architectures. Exercise was to shoot interiors of some great architectures to study light inside. Results were all flat images. But not all images look good that way. A little contrast always helps. Especially when we want to present as work of art. Thats a lesson for me. I think I screwed up in tone mapping. I have posted a new experiment here, please take a look at it. Your comments have always helped me. I really appreciate your suggestions Dan! Thanks a ton!
That sharp detail is very mesmerizing...

@Daroru: The place in real is spellbinding! Thanks for stopping by pal!
Impeccable! You definitely need HDR-ing to show this much of details! Superb work yaar!

@Saneef: I had same thought in my mind and thought this image was a good candidate for HDRI experiment. Still learning HDRI. Thanks for the comment! Do visit again!
Magnificent! Like a poster. Great work on the HDR. Not over done like most.
